This Privacy Policy explains how Proptell ("we", "us", "our"), operated by Omar, collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use proptell.in and related services (the "Platform"). By using the Platform, you consent to the practices described here, in line with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the IT (Reasonable Security Practices and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011.

2. Information We Collect

• Account information: name, phone number, email address, city, and password (encrypted).
• Listing information: property details, photos, documents, and pricing submitted by Owners, Builders, and PG/Hostel Operators.
• Usage data: search queries, saved properties, pages visited, device and browser type, and approximate location (for map-based search).
• Communication data: messages, enquiries, and support requests exchanged through the Platform.
• Transaction data: subscription plan selected, billing cycle, and payment status (see Section 4 below regarding payment details specifically).

3. How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account and Listings.
• To connect Renters/Buyers with Owners, Builders, and PG/Hostel Operators.
• To process subscription payments and send billing confirmations.
• To improve map-based search, recommendations, and overall Platform performance.
• To send service updates, transactional alerts, and (with consent) promotional communication.
• To detect and prevent fraud, duplicate Listings, and misuse of the Platform.
• To comply with legal obligations, including those under RBI and IT Act regulations.

4. Payment Data

All payments made on the Platform are processed by our RBI-authorised third-party payment gateway partner. Proptell does not collect or store your card number, CVV, UPI PIN, or net-banking credentials on its own servers. Payment gateway providers handle this data in accordance with PCI-DSS standards and their own privacy and security policies.

5. Cookies & Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in, remember search preferences, and understand how the Platform is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling cookies may affect certain features of the Platform.

6. Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:

• Other Users, to the extent necessary to facilitate a property enquiry (e.g., sharing a Renter's contact details with an Owner when an enquiry is raised).
• Our payment gateway partner, solely to process transactions.
• Service providers who help us operate the Platform (e.g., hosting, analytics, SMS/OTP providers), under confidentiality obligations.
• Law enforcement or regulatory authorities, where required by law.

7. Data Storage & Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit and access controls, to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as your account remains active or as necessary to provide the Services, resolve disputes, and comply with legal obligations. You may request deletion of your data as described below.
